Welcome to the AU Workshop! We understand adapting a character for an AU game can be a difficult process, even if you have all the creativity in the world, so we've put this together to help! Just fill out the form and post it in a comment below, and sort of brain out which ideas stick!

Keep in mind this is not a reserve. Reserves will open on the 3rd, as always, and you don't need to use this if you're already sure of your ideas! This is just a fun creative exercise that we hope you enjoy and find helpful!

BLURB: Aya is the current Director of Personnel and Resident Liason for the NSO! She was also one of the founding members of the organization, having left the Douman Zaibatsu alongside Dr. Annan. Not much is known about her past, and she'll be pretty flippant about it if asked. She has some cybernetic augments, but more importantly, she's a Meta-human with telekinetic powers. She's super helpful and more than willing to look out for others, always offering a friendly voice and a shoulder to lean against in destitute times. Let her be your big sister!

LOOKING FOR:

Other NSO employees! She's basically the HR manager, so she'll be in the know about them!

Other psionic Metas whom she can help train to better use their powers!

AU NAME: Marise Hargrave (uses "Mirys" as a preferred alternate spelling)
AU AGE: 16 years

BLURB: heck ur blurb have some bullets
• Meta-human with a powerset based on one or more of the elemental types used in Phantasy Star canon. It's not set in stone right now, but I'm strongly considering Light specifically, which would more or less translate to light generation/manipulation with the capability of weaponizing it (lasers! hard-light construct weapons! annoying bubble shields that burn on contact!), and with some less-combat-oriented uses as well (illusions! lightening or darkening rooms! glowing in the dark like some freaky human light bulb!).
• Blue hair and pointed ears are physical traits that might possibly give her away to normal humans. She could possibly mask the hair color via illusion, but maintaining it over extended periods will get kind of tiring after awhile, and the ears would still be An Issue either way...
• The discovery of Mirys's Meta status was probably pretty darn early in her life with the physical traits being noticed, and then discovering what she could do came sometime later (around age 13, or 14, maybe?).
• I want to say that her father (Dorian Hargrave) was a researcher with the NSO that threw himself into his work even more when he first learned his daughter was a Meta. What he specifically did for the NSO (if that particular information even needs to be determined) will be up to the mods if having that association is fine; I don't wanna say he did one thing and have it turn out later that the game's plot requires something else.
• Key word: "was." Dad's been missing for a year and is assumed dead by now. Same goes for Mom (Ellen), she went missing at the same time. Mirys has probably been under the care of the NSO itself ever since.
• She believes her parents were murdered by a person or people with anti-Meta views, so she now tends toward assuming that literally anyone outside the NSO is a threat to her unless proven otherwise. She also initially won't be terribly social to most within the NSO either, except maybe Aya.
• She has interests in robotics and AI. She doesn't actively hide these interests, but also doesn't go out of her way to make them known.
• Yes, she still wears that goofy-ass outfit.

LOOKING FOR:
• I'm still trying to hammer down some backstory deets to avoid things being too barebones; any ideas on that front would be very appreciated!
• CR-wise, I'd like primarily for anyone to try chipping away at the shell she's gone and built up; make her want some friends dammit!

CHARACTER: Magnus the Red
CANON: Warhammer 40000

AU NAME: Magnus last-name-to-be-determined
AU AGE: like... 47?

BLURB: Magnus is a Meta-human, and this is something obvious immediately on sight, because his skin is bright red and he is twelve feet tall. This has, without exaggeration, been the defining factor in his life. In his childhood, his family was forced to move from Central Ward due to his undisguisable differences, and this is just the first in a very, very long line of conflicts Magnus has had with The Establishment™.

Now, in his adulthood, Magnus is a well-regarded (if controversial) academic. He has a bit of a Marvel-style multi-disciplinary genius thing going on, except that his main focus is the social sciences, and his body of work focuses on sociology and anthropology as it relates to Meta-humans. His critics accuse him of being a Meta-human supremacist — and he is, even if he keeps those beliefs veiled in his professional life. He firmly believes that Meta-humans are nothing but the continuing evolution of humanity, that the path to peace is to elevate all humans to Meta-human status (though he will entertain debate about the precise methods that should be used to do so), and exclusively uses the term "post-human" instead of the more accepted Meta-human.

He also works with the NSO! He helps fund and organize programs related to access to education, with a focus on education concerned with social sciences, philosophy, and the arts. He's extremely passionate about learning in general, and making sure the under-privileged have access to it is one of his greatest concerns!

In addition to being red and Huge, Magnus has psychic powers that I'll fully decide on later. He is, unfortunately, someone for whom being overpowered is important to his character, so I'm still working out how to achieve this without being obnoxious.

LOOKING FOR:

• Magnus actually adores the Youths™ and falls into a mentoring role very easily, so I would love CR with younger characters! Particularly those that are artistically-inclined, academically-motivated, only in need of a gentle nudge to become so, or are just generally alienated from the world in a way that would make Magnus's own philosophies appealing to them.
  
• On the opposite end of the spectrum, adult coworkers and academic peers! Magnus is the sort of person who, by nature, has trouble connecting with others as equals, but I would love for him to have some working relationships that can maybe evolve in the direction of Magnus eventually seeing someone as being on his level.
  
• People who will butt heads with him, or at least challenge what he says! Despite presenting a facade of humility and openness, Magnus has a terminal case of "I'm always correct and if anyone disagrees with me, they're the one who is wrong" Disease, so of course he's gonna grate on some people. I'm interested both in people who overall get along with him but think he needs the ego check every once in a while, and people who just straight-up can't stand his stupid smug face.
  
• Conversely, I'm also all for people who... don't do that, and very much agree with the way he thinks, haha. Or people who have some other form of extremist views that at least follow the same trajectory as his, even if they don't match up with 100% accuracy. People he can speak openly to, essentially.
  
• Artists in general. Magnus isn't an artist himself, but he is a collector, and he appreciates creative types!
  
• People who will definitely make fun of him for being named Magnus, lmao.

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: I doubt this is going to be an issue, but for the record, I'm planning on saying Magnus was adopted with his original family being ~mysterious~ on the off-chance anyone ever considers playing one of his brothers.

Anyway, so far as WH40k characters go, I'm also considering Mortarion. Unfortunately, however, their canon relationship is too significant for me to app both!

Mortarion would be a character that fits into a very different role, and interact with the setting in a very different way. The rough overview is as follows: In infancy, Mortarion was adopted by a Meta-human with disturbing powers, who used them to become a powerful crime-lord in the Last Ward. Kept in line with abuse, his father used Mortarion as a henchman for the first twenty-something years of his life. A few years ago, however, his foster father was taken down by one of the NSO's vigilante groups, who took Mortarion into their custody for rehabilitation after he aided them.

Unfortunately, Mortarion is going to need more than a few years to get over decades of abuse! Despite being a Meta-human himself, his view of them is very negative, thanks both to the actions of the man who raised him and his own powers being pretty nasty as well. Bitter and withdrawn, he's slow to trust, and doesn't have a particularly high opinion of the NSO's goals despite all the help that has been given to him. I would, if I apped Mortarion, be looking for pretty much the opposite of what I want with Magnus — more adult characters who are willing to put up with his glaring personality flaws to help him grapple with the trauma of his upbringing, and people who have a similarly conflicted view on their own identity as a Meta-human. Let me know if there's interest in a character like that!

Also, this isn't really the same thing, but I didn't have anywhere else to put it so: I'm not really sure how to say Magnus lost his eye in this AU, so let me know if there's any interest in, like, Meta-human body parts being a thing that gets sold on the black market.

CHARACTER: Tooi Kuji
CANON: Sarazanmai

AU NAME: n/a
AU AGE: 14

BLURB: Please note that his AU contains content warnings for suicide and abandonment, so if that bothers you, please keep it in mind.

Tooi is a Meta-human with some Kappa Physiology elements! Specifically:

• Webbed hands and feet! The feet are hidden well enough by shoes/socks, but the hands he usually keeps hidden by gloves unless he's alone at home. Something to note, though - the webbing on his hands has significant scarring. The nails on his hands also grow rather clawlike, so he has to cut and file them down regularly in order to pass.

• Breathing underwater!

• Enhanced endurance and strength!

Tooi's past is not a particularly happy one. Growing up in the 22nd Century's equivalent of Tokyo, much like his canon counterpart Tooi had a normal childhood with his parents and older brother Chikai in their family-run soba shop...up until he started manifesting the physical aspects of his Meta-human abilities. His parents, absolutely shocked and afraid, sought whatever medical procedure they could afford for their youngest son, and several that they couldn't afford, to get rid of the webbing in his hands (hence the scarring). This sent them into a hole of debt which they could not emerge from, and under the intense pressure to pay up and the failure of not being able to provide their youngest son with a normal life, they end up committing suicide when Tooi is 10yrs old.

Being fully aware of his burden on his parents, Tooi feels completely responsible for this - and then responsible for his brother, Chikai, leaving the family home and never returning. Tooi automatically assumed his brother just up and abandoned him out of disgust. So what does a kid who feels like he's ruined the lives of his only family do? That kid runs the hell away from home. Far, far, far away from home. Tooi stowed away on ships and hitched rides on trucks to get all the way to New Gate City, clawing his way through the seedy underbelly of society. Through hiding from authorities on his journey, he learned of his water breathing and enhanced strength and endurance, which he keeps on the down-low. It is from this experience that he has emerged into the city shockingly hardened, somewhat self-loathing of his own status as a Meta-human yet doggedly determined to survive in whatever way possible, if only out of spite to a world that took everything from him.

Other little things I wanted to incorporate into his AU: he lives in Last Ward, working legally in the Market Ward as a busboy in a hole-in-the-wall noodle restaurant and illegally as a small-time drug dealer. (Hey, you have to make those inflated rents for your shitty studio apartment somehow.) As odd as it is for a 14yr old to be so serious and keep a distance from anything childish, he does have a fondness for soccer and privately keeps track of his favorite teams. He's under no illusion he'll ever get to play professionally, but it's a dream he keeps very close to his chest.

LOOKING FOR:

• Fellow societal urchin/troublemakers! Preferably teens he can make a weird...rivalry and/or alliance with? It's hard to really get through to him to be actual friends, but he'll work with a group of he has to.

• Adults or teens who will absolutely meddle in his shitty life and drag him kicking and screaming into decency. I can't say it will work, but playing out the struggle to bring this kid properly to a better life would be a lot of fun.

• Fellow Last Ward neighbors who might want to almost-adopt a tiny delinquent!

• Uuuuuh does anyone want an underage dealer for dime bags of recreational drugs? He doesn't carry anything hard, just the 22nd Century equivalent of weed.

I would also love feedback on this AU idea - I'm sticking as close to canon for his backstory as I can in order to build off of it, but if it's something people feel like is too uncomfortable for the game I can change it or scale things back. Lmk please!

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: I'd love to see potential canonmates in either Kazuki or Enta, to build a connection through the AU setting and see how that works. Wouldn't mind seeing his older brother Chikai as well - I tried to leave his role fairly ambiguous but if there's anything you might want to change or add if you think of bringing him in, again, let me know.

CHARACTER: Nie Huaisang
CANON: Mo Dao Zu Shi

AU NAME: NA
AU AGE: IDK around 30?

BLURB: In canon, he's the incompetent, easily flustered, artsy fart leader of a powerful clan of mystical warriors... who just might be the mastermind behind a cold-blooded revenge plot. So in this AU, I'm thinking of making him a minor corporate CEO, probably under the Douman Zaibatsu umbrella. Huaisang would be perfectly content to lounge around sipping wine, gossiping and admiring his art collection, but his brother's death thrust him into a leadership position that he seems ill-suited for. He's a secret meta-human (probably some sort of magnetokinetic, since that sorta fits all of the magic flying sword stuff in his canon) but he can't actually use or control his abilities - it's said that members of his family become possessed by their powers until they go completely insane with bloodlust. It happened to his brother... but the circumstances of his brother's death were suspicious enough that Huaisang is convinced that foul play was involved. He'll use any people or resources at his disposal to find out why. He's quietly helping to fund the Neo Sapien Organization in the hope that they can figure out a way remove his abilities, but his views towards meta-humans are negative and doesn't fully trust the group.

Huaisang can be helpless, ineffectual and prone to overreacting, and his generous, easygoing nature makes him easy to underestimate, but he's far smarter than he looks. He knows that information - real or false - is an effective weapon.

LOOKING FOR: ...Anybody, really. He's a sociable guy who avoids conflict and tries to ingratiate himself with people (especially if they might be useful to him later). I'm particularly interested in...

• Fellow members of high society.
  
• People to do his dirty work. Spies, informants, and other shady types to provide him with info on other factions. The line between "legitimate business" and "criminal organization" is pretty thin in cyberpunk, so I can see him having some underworld connections (which he'd tearfully deny, of course).
  
• People who are involved in the arts. Huaisang's real passion is for art, although his strict family never approved. Now that he has money to throw around, he likes to surround himself with pretty things.
  
• Former private school/university classmates, who would remember him as an good-natured troublemaker with mediocre grades who always seemed to weasel out of whatever mischief he created.
  
• NSO members. He desperately needs their help, so he's supporting the organization under the guise of "philanthropy" - after-school programs for disadvantaged meta-human kids, that sort of thing. I'd really like people who could challenge his fear of meta-humans.

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Canonmates would be fun!

CHARACTER: John Egbert
CANON: Homestuck

AU NAME: He has a pretty average 'Murican name already so N/A
AU AGE: 13

BLURB: John is a snarky, witty, but overall amiable young man who loves to spend his free time pulling pranks and nerding out over bad movies from a decade (or in this case quite a few decades) before his time. He also likes to think he knows a decent bit about hacking although, truthfully, he kind of sucks at it. John was born into a safe and rather secure middle-class life in the Central Ward with his father. Sadly, and much unbeknownst to him, he has a bit of meta-human blood running through his veins. Since he is only 13 though, his powers have yet to manifest and he knows jack-all about what's in store for him. But when is anything in life a "breeze"? If anything, discovering new things about himself may eventually be a "breath" of fresh "air" from his mundane lifestyle. (Eh? Eehhhh? Ya get it?)

LOOKING FOR: Any and all CR! Since this is an AU Johns father doesn't necessarily have to be his canon dad if anyone wants to take up the mantle. Also would love to have a group of friends that he's already aware of, whether it's in his school life or others he met upon the network, or within his time spent in Arcadia. Also I'm just looking for people to stir overall drama with during his slow realization and development into becoming a meta-human. I'm really interested in taking what potential already existed for the character and his development and having it grow someplace outside of the unnecessarily convoluted series he was made for.

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: I know Homestuck is a long dead meme at this point but I've been looking for a reason to pick up and play this semi-depressed tween for years now. If anyone is tempted to bring in cast-members as well I am absolutely for it!

ngl, I think CR between these two would be hilarious?? There's some superficial overlap in their interests — they're both art collectors, they both use (largely inherited) money to fund NSO programs focused on helping underprivileged schoolkids — but their actual beliefs about meta-humans are pretty much as opposed as they can possibly be. idk exactly what to suggest, though... frenemies? those guys who hang out at fundraising dinners talking about art until somehow the topic drifts to them having an argument about meta-human politics?? Like, Magnus will definitely challenge his discomfort with meta-humans, but I don't know if it'll be in a way that's ultimately productive so far as changing minds goes, lol.

Magnus has a soft spot for kids, a definite concern for helping less privileged Meta-humans (including those in Last Ward), and obvious and undisguisable physical components to his Meta-human abilities. He would definitely be the kind of person to encourage Tooi to get on a better path in life, and I think some of Tooi's history would resonate with Magnus on a personal level — and maybe vice versa? So I would definitely be interested with CR here.

Oh, absolutely! Magnus is a complete dad at heart, and a young meta-human discovering their abilities for the first time, learning to accept it as part of their identity and their place in the world, etc, will definitely kick those mentoring instincts into high gear.

Y'know just like one of those cool old-school superhero movies from 100 years ago. Like Kick-Ass or something.

CANON: Fate/Grand Order

AU NAME: Still keeping the Kipposhi part of his name but undecided on a surname.
AU AGE: 19

BLURB: Kipposhi is an abandoned scion of one of the less powerful corporate families that are loyal to the Douman Zaibatsu. When his Meta-human powers (that i'm still not decided on) manifested, his mother basically disowned him and cast him out in the Last Ward. But Kipposhi is not a guy easily deterred from anything, and sees it as his destiny to not only go back, kick ass, and take over his family's company, but he also has his sights set right on Richard Magnus and taking the Douman Zaibatsu for himself, as well. Dude definitely wants to rule the world. He's just gonna take a while to get there, building his influence within The Underground as a gang leader and work his way up until he's got those who spurred him bowing at his feet.

LOOKING FOR: People loyal to him, people from higher up the social ladder remembering the controversy surrounding his removal from his family, those sympathetic to him but thinking maybe he should Chill Out. Also help me figure out what his powers could be.



CHARACTER: Fujiwara no Mokou
CANON: Touhou Project

AU NAME: Mokou idkthelastnameyet
AU AGE: 17

BLURB: A similar story to Kipposhi, but in this case, a bad merger and literal (like with guns and corporate military) takeover of her family's company and turning it into a sub-branch of the Douman Zaibatsu caused her clan to be figuratively destroyed and her father killed. Mokou was forced to run away at the time, but has since re-emerged within the Last Ward as "The Phoenix", a seemingly immortal avenger attacking Douman Zaibatsu in any way she can.

In truth, she's a homeless wayward whose Meta-human powers manifest as a healing factor that's so intense and burns so much of the nearby oxygen around her as fuel, she literally creates flames and can come back from seemingly fatal wounds as a result. Her organs and skeletal structure were cybernetically augmented when these powers manifested in her youth, her father desperate to keep her own powers from killing her.

She has a penchant for graffiti and comes across as a fairly normal street kid despite her former upbringing most of the time, but she tends to stay away from people and can be a bit of an isolationist.

LOOKING FOR: She's an urban legend in Last Ward, so people will definitely know who she is if they see her powers in use. also fellow art enthusiasts, street kids, people involved with her backstory, so on and so forth. What I want most is a well-meaning friend who helps Mokou look after herself and not be a complete animal.



CHARACTER: May
CANON: Guilty Gear

AU NAME: May Sfondi
AU AGE: 23

BLURB: May is a former war orphan, a corporate war having destroyed part of the city she and her family lived in back in Japan. Since then, she's wound up in New Gate City, a Meta-human criminal and literal actual pirate with an all-girl crew that runs some illegal smuggling in Market Ward and Last Ward, namely getting supplies to the desperate that NSO isn't able to reach, and definitely going about it in illegal ways. Not that she cares, since yar har fiddlee dee and all. She loves her outlaw life, and has no real connection to her past, gladly having the surname of the person who found and saved her way back then. It helps that her Meta-human power is super strength, so her small stature is no deterrent in holding down her territory against other gang's.

LOOKING FOR: COME BE A PIRATE. she only accepts women on her crew, of course, but that's how it be sometimes.



CHARACTER: Jotaro Kujo
CANON: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure

AU NAME: Jotako Kujo (this will be a genderswapped AU)
AU AGE: 42

BLURB: Jotako is a respected biologist and employed with the NSO as a researcher. She specializes in marine biology, but has also done pretty thorough studies on Meta-humans and as a Meta herself, this is the best gig she can get while still remaining adjacent to her field. She doesn't speak much about her past, but she got into some wild shit in her youth and lost several close and dear friends as a result. She also has a daughter that she's estranged from, and while she keeps a picture of her on her desk, she is very unlikely to mention her, and definitely won't hold the conversation if she's brought up. She is a reticent soul who tends to rely on others to just pick up on what she's thinking or feeling despite not emoting much. She's trying to get better about that.

Her Meta power feels like she's stopping time for others, but the truth is that she's able to alter one's perception of time simply by moving so fast she exceeds the ability of the human eye to process it. This gives her the ability to put ridiculous amounts of momentum in her world famous punches...

LOOKING FOR: I'm more than willing to swap out other characters for the canon ones in her past, assuming the specific canonmates never come along. But if you're thinking about Jolyne, i will love you forever. i'm also down for possible romantic partners, particularly past ones that didn't last. Exes are bestes. Other scientists as well! DOLPHIN LOVERS.



CHARACTER: Jack-O
CANON: Guilty Gear

AU NAME: Jack-O
AU AGE: ????

BLURB: The Douman Zaibatsu has been committing experiments on Meta-humans for years, and sometimes those experiments fail badly. Jack-O is a result of that, abandoned by the company and left for dead. Her cybernetically augmented brain is also malfunctioning, making her personality and memory deeply unreliable. Without the special mask that was designed for her, her functionality deteriorates quickly. But she doesn't seem upset by any of this, maintaining a happy-go-lucky and childish personality, as well as a deeply analytical and curious adult personality, at the same time. Her powers of kinetic manipulation allow her to change the vectors of various objects and even energy itself, which her cybernetic body can produce for her to manipulate.

It's deeply obvious that Douman Zaibatsu was trying to develop her as an intelligent, cybernetic Meta-human weapon, from all of her functionality, but her mind being in the state it in makes her impossible to rely on. Unfortunately, she's still quite dangerous. The NSO takes care of her now, and is desperate to fix the damage done and find the woman buried still somewhere within that cyber-brain of hers. Her access to the outside world is limited, but she's very excited to make friends!

LOOKING FOR: Jack-O is under the NSO's care, so anyone that lives or work there would know her, even without security clearance, since part of her recovery is social acclimation. So mostly she just wants friends.

To be totally serious, if you go with Jotako, I think she and Magnus could have some really good CR? He is the sort of person who is very aware of small emotional cues and could be very checked in on how Jotako is feeling even without her expressing herself much (and even without having to cheat by reading her mind). Plus they're both researchers related to the NSO, doing research on things related to Meta-humans, who tend to be a bit buttoned-up about the full extent of their histories and wouldn't pressure the other into divulging things that are too personal, etc.

With that said, he would also think Jack-O is absolutely fascinating and uhhhh will probably already have tried to telepathically poke around inside her mind at least once, so there's. Also that for potential CR.

BLURB: I'm tempted to make Jet an ordinary human with some neat cybernetics, namely a prosthetic eye and possibly a cybernetic limb or two? I'm still mulling over pastabilities here, though I have interest in maybe making him a meta-human with like, teleportation powers? I'm on the fence with that.

Jet's definitely an outlaw. He harbors a deep hatred and suspicion for anything that elevates class disparities or facilitates the discrimination, exploitation, and abuse of others. Thus, he's very wary of the Douman Zaibatsu and the Yakashbah, and the NSO is on equally thin ice, though it gets some points for helping the disenfranchised and lower-class metas. Jet is interested in the disassembly of corrupt power structures in both the short-term and long-term, so the Douman Zaibatsu gets the brunt of his frustration and disgust.

I can see him participating in pretty much any sub-market or black market dealings that would involve obtaining anything that the Douman Zaibatsu wouldn't want you to obtain, like off-brand products or pirated Douman Zaibatsu pharmaceuticals, etc. Jet does his best to live under the radar and out of sight from most law enforcement, so he'd mostly be frequenting the "Last" Ward, and probably living on the move near-constantly. His morals are very much in line with wanting to help people that others don't, so he's not likely to be (willingly) involved in shadier dealings like human trafficking. Mostly, he wants to give people alternative options that don't involve selling their souls to a sprawling corporation that already owns everything else. That's not say that he's not capable of doing terrible things, however; regardless of how remarkably (potentially inadvisably) idealistic Jet might be, he's willing to do what it takes to survive in a very rough part of New Gate City.

LOOKING FOR: UHHH FEEDBACK ON THIS AU IS ALWAYS GOOD, i've never done an au game before and it probably shows! In terms of in-universe stuff, if anyone else is interested in being Cyberpunk Outlaw Buddies with Jet, that would be aces, but we don't have to stop there! Law enforcement that has it out for him? Law enforcement that's willing to look the other way for him? Common customers? Jet notably has a soft spot for kids in particular, and will happily bend the rules for them.

BLURB: Ok this is just in general, some of it may be asking too much since in canon a lot of things happend.

I'm going with the idea that he was a young prodigy from a notable family who ended up getting kicked out of school for fooling around. After some sort of event he got into some kind of technomancy. He would be a meta human, but I'm not sure exactly what his powers would be.

So while he was into a bunch of cyber stuff at one point, he ended up causing a whole lot of problems and making a whole lot of enemies, though he was just trying to do the right thing. Anyway, he got into some stuff involving saving consciousness digitally, and after some things got killed.

But wait, what do you mean he's dead?

So, 10 years after he died (when he was about 20) some dumb kid is like "I'm going to find that guy and bring him back and be awesome!" And does manage to find his hidden consciousness somewhere, somehow, and uploads him into his brain, but loses his own. So poor Wei Wuxian here wakes up 10 years in the future and in some strangers body.

Maybe he can end up a half student half teacher figure.

Originally a corporate hitman who ended up turning on his employers at the time (Zaibatsu)... and well, they decided to keep him on even after that since he was good at his job -- only with a few alterations and mental 'edits'. Now he is a sweet, polite, well-meaning and overly concerned fellow who works security. Family and friends? Oh, well, he had a bad accident a few years ago and still has some amnesia, or so he'll say. Every once in a while he'll glitch a little and say something a bit troubling, but don't worry about it too much!

LOOKING FOR: People involved with the Zaibatsu to dote on? Old underworld types that know him (even if he doesn't remember them)? Corrupt science types that might have worked on him at some point? I'm just throwing the first set of ideas that hit my brain out and I'm not married to any of this yet so hit me up!

Just throwing this idea out there, Ordis has a very butler-y kind of attitude, so if he ever needed a bodyguard who is ALSO very polite and nice and only sometimes tells the equivalent of a robotic Dad Joke, maybe he could grab Ordis from Zaibatsu Security sometimes?
