Welcome to the AU Workshop! We understand adapting a character for an AU game can be a difficult process, even if you have all the creativity in the world, so we've put this together to help! Just fill out the form and post it in a comment below, and sort of brain out which ideas stick!

Keep in mind this is not a reserve. Reserves will open on the 3rd, as always, and you don't need to use this if you're already sure of your ideas! This is just a fun creative exercise that we hope you enjoy and find helpful!

AU NAME: Yeowoo becomes an alias for one Jessica Michaels.
AU AGE: 30 years old

BLURB: In Isekai/Online, she had an awakening after being translated into the world of an MMO (along with half a million others) at the age of 35; in this, she had her transgender and metahuman awakenings much earlier - gaining her vulpine features and biokinetic abilities soon after puberty, and shocked at how much more herself she felt as the amazonian gumiho avatar "Yeowoo" from Legends of the Magical Adventurer's Order in the VR gaming halls.

Trying to deal with it through official channels was an endless series of frustrations - the Zaibatsu-run colleges had no patience for her mental health issues, and there was a very dark period of her life when she had no medication, few friends outside of tabletop and VR gamers, almost no money, and a burgeoning sense that she had wasted her life.

The Neo-Sapiens Organization saved her life. She joined it after a friend coaxed her hikkimori ass out the door, and there she finally had the support to finish her education and learn to control her powers - and a desire to use them for the betterment of mankind and (along with with the proper medication) to become who she wanted to be.

Now that she has enough control to morph away her ears and tails, she maintains a dayjob as a clerk at the convenience store Tote-Em-Snax, in the seedy edge of the Market District - the better to leap into action as the vulpine, superpowered martial artist and healer, Yeowoo, when trouble threatens the most vulnerable.

LOOKING FOR: Yeowoo is kind of a goofy wish-fullfillment character with a bit of the old clinical depression and ADHD keeping her life from being simple. Hopefully I'll succeed at making her life difficult...

Originally her powers were based on being a particular race and class in D&D/MMO terms (Vulpine "Weihu" and supernatural martial artist "Monk"), and she may well think of them in those terms because she's a freakin' weeaboo; but I'm trying to unify both into a single powerset of biokinesis, the total awareness of her own body and the ability to subtly shift the metabolism of herself and those she touches. Let me know how that sounds!

She badly needs Her old VR and TTRPG crew! If your character is a True Gamer, would you be interested in being part of the crew that saved her life from the Bad Old Days? They can still have weekly games of the local MMO or LOL equivalents, or D&D and the like - and maybe even they fight crime together now? Who knows!

I'm also interested in her Mentors at the Organization particularly ones that could help her come to terms with her mental health issues and that might be able to train her in her Physical Adept-ass psionic powers.

Finally, if you'd be interested in working at Tote-Em-Snax with her, we can do Clerks only cyberpunk. Don't tell me that doesn't sound hilarious. Who's in?

OPTIONAL ENABLE ME: Madoka Mawaru (originally an NPC detailed at length in the TTRPG Breakfast Cult) is a wheelchair bound living computer - a combination of cybernetics and metahuman ability give her the ability to do extremely rapid calculations and maintain a massive memory of metahuman activity. She acts as an advisor, an Oracle type - and she maintains hella stupid memes because she's just like this.

If there's enough tolerance for Laundry-ass bullshit I'd love for her to maintain her old powerset of computational sorcery, instead - using cellphones and computers to produce spell-like psychokinetic effects.

Well, she doesn't have to usually be reminded to eat but uh if she's upset or pushing herself then yeah. She's bad at taking care of herself then.
