Welcome to the AU Workshop! We understand adapting a character for an AU game can be a difficult process, even if you have all the creativity in the world, so we've put this together to help! Just fill out the form and post it in a comment below, and sort of brain out which ideas stick!

Keep in mind this is not a reserve. Reserves will open on the 3rd, as always, and you don't need to use this if you're already sure of your ideas! This is just a fun creative exercise that we hope you enjoy and find helpful!

I feel like Cal would immediately get along with Andrei. They're both in hiding (even if they never talk about it), and Cal's a nice kid who'd be accepting of his odd hobbies. In fact he'd be more inclined to try to keep Andrei safe instead of the other way around.

It wouldn't be hard for Cal to meet either of the others if you opt for someone else, though!

Nice and accepting is something Andrei very much values in friends! ... And oh gosh, looking at your ideas for Cal's AU backstory, that sounds like CR I'd be super into. Working-class mechanical geniuses with spotty educations unite, and possibly build robots together?

I'd hesitate to call Cal a genius at anything but jumping around like a mountain goat, but he definitely has the skill to help out and the resources to bring him choice pieces of scrap! And he loves robots too so he'd definitely want in on that. :)
